Alternative route on Walk 10a from Lugg Approach to Way Point 4

Choice (B)

From Lugg Approach, turn right and cross the Romford Road at the crossing outside the Glyn Hopkins Car dealership. Turn left, and then immediately right down a path passing between the blocks of flats.

At the junction, turn left onto Grantham Road and continue as it curves right. The road straightens out, and then after 200 metres turn left into Sally Murray Close. 

At the end of the close, walk into Little Ilford Park and turn right. Continue walking with the A406 behind the trees on your left. At the end of the path you arrive at a mown area used as a cricket pitch. Walk straight over (as long as there isn’t a match going on!). 

Pass through a gap in the hedge into the exercise area (see picture below).

Turn left along the path, then out of the gate into Reynolds Avenue.

Continue down Reynolds Avenue, past the allotments on your left.  Immediately after the allotments, turn left into a narrow road to some industrial buildings, then immediately branch left onto a narrow footpath between metal fences (see picture below).

At the bottom end of the path turn right onto the path along the River Roding
